Hi I’m Charmaine, and welcome to my website!

My passion and hobby is creating beautiful crochet blankets and other decor items in cotton and wool.

Ever since I can remember I have wanted my own craft shop but life got in the way of this dream. The next best thing was to explore my passions in my chosen craft which is crochet and being a self-confessed yarnaholic the logical outcome was to put my crochet talents to good use by creating saleable blankets, scarves, shawls, beanies and gloves using wonderful designs by extremely talented designers.

I have over the past few years been using wonderful MoYa cottons from South Africa and decided to further explore my yarn passion by bringing this wonderful cotton to Australia and selling at very competitive prices.

I grew up in South African and my mum was very instrumental in nurturing my crochet desires from a very early age – 10yrs old. She taught me to crochet doilies in fine cotton. Over the years I lost my crojo – again life got in the way and rekindled my passions by starting as most of us do with simple granny squares and progressed to more intricate designs about 10 years ago. I was privileged to be a tester for an extremely talented South African Designer for a few years.

The very worst anyone can do is interrupt a crocheter who is counting stitches and I have had many a frustrating moment with this interruption from husband, children and my ever attentive dogs. When Toby was a pup he used to delight in running off with a ball of yarn and tangling it everywhere

I find untangling yarn and also sewing in ends quite therapeutic to the dismay of most of my crocheting friends, lol.
